After the huge success of the 2017 inaugural Wool@Portsoy event, a second Wool@Portsoy event has been agreed for 2018. The next Wool@Portsoy will be held on Saturday August 25th, 2018. The organisers hope to use two venues in the town centre, making plenty space for workshops and fleece tables as well as more exhibitors. I'll be teaching how to turn an old t-shirt into a crocheted bowl. 2018 sees the sixth year that AD Heating will be taking part in EU Sustainable Energy Week. Following on from last year’s successful ‘Make Do and Mend’ event, they will be hosting a bigger and better community event on Saturday the 9th June and all are welcome to join in!

The aim of our events is to showcase some of the best craftspeople in the fields of wool and textiles, be it raw fleeces, gorgeous yarns, beautiful soft fabrics or luxurious finished products made from yarns or fabrics. We believe that anyone who loves wool and textiles will find something to delight them, inspire them and encourage them to embrace their passion for crafting. Furthermore, we believe in the amazing skills and talents of our local community in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland
I'm exhibiting at Aberdeen's first yarn festival!!! In addition to a vibrant market place, Aberdeen Yarnfest is excited to present a wide range of classes, demonstrations, exhibitions and podcasts, thereby establishing the Grampian Region as a significant educational and inspiring creative hub.
This Children’s Sock Puppet Workshop will be held on Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day, Wednesday 21st March. After school class 3.30-5pm Please take along a lonely colourful sock and I will provide all the extra crafty materials you need to make a fun sock puppet. No fee, donations only to DS Scotland. I'll be exhibiting in the Social Club at Dornoch Fibre Fest! Join the fun, check out their website for details of what's going on where. Two halls, 8 classes, one Cathedral, an opening talk and lots of lovely fibre and supplies in a beautiful part of the world!
The next craft night will be Fri 2nd March. This is a free, friendly, helpful group where we meet in my workshop and work on our own crafty project. It's a great way to get project advice and inspiration with many different crafts worked on. Tea, Coffee and a fine piece is provided, all I ask is a pound in the jar to cover costs. All welcome. Just let me know if you can make it so I have an idea of numbers. :-)

Join us in the heart of the Highlands this Autumn for three days packed full of knitting wonder. Loch Ness Knit Fest is an unmissable event which takes place in the Highland Capital, Inverness. In our first year we welcomed over 1200 visitors from over 20 different countries. Inspired by the hugely successful The Danish Fano Strikkefestival and following on from last years inaugural Loch Ness Knit Fest, our second year again pulls on the region’s rich cultural and crafting history.
