This listing is for a FRAME LOOM WEAVING WORKSHOP with the talented Stephanie from Le Petit Moose. The class will run for 3 hours on a Thursday afternoon between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
The class takes place in my workshop space, on the outskirts of Ellon, Aberdeenshire. This will be a fun, wecoming class and is suitable for complete beginners.
How about learning a new skill this year?
Woven wall hangings have made a major comeback as an alternative to traditional framed wall art. With simple easy-to-use tools and instructions, join Le Petit Moose and learn how to make your own handwoven wall hanging. It's a great way to spend some time working with beautiful fibres, being creative and meeting like-minded individuals.
During the course of the workshop, you'll learn how to warp your loom, create shapes, different stitches, adding fringe and finishing techniques. This class is ideal for beginners as no prior weaving experience is needed. All materials and yarns will be provided, although if you do catch the weaving bug and would like to explore this craft further, there will be an opportunity to purchase a Le Petit Moose frame loom weaving kit after the class.
Classes are limited to 8 people to ensure everyone gets ample teaching time.
The workshop will be non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days prior to the workshop start date.
Payment must be made in full prior to secure your space.
Directions will be emailed to you separately once the booking has been made.
