Claire Fraser is Superwash Merino / Nylon Blend Sock Weight yarn which has been inspired by the tv series Outlander. rich burgundy and wine combine with lots of variegation and speckles.

There is also a single ply merino silk base available too which adds extra drape and sheen.


It has been hand dyed by myself, Claire Bentley at Cookston Crafts in Aberdeenshire.

This yarn has been dyed to give a variegated effect using various colours of professional acid dye.

Merino Nylon 4 ply:
100 grams
425 metres
Sock
75% Superwash Merino
25% Nylon

Merino Silk Singles:

100g 400m

Single Ply

70% Superwash Merino / 30% Silk

Although I have tried to photograph this yarn in plenty natural light, the actual colour may vary slightly to the way the image is presented on your screen.

The yarn has been rinsed until the water runs clear, however some bleeding MAY occur and handwashing in a lukewarm solution with wool detergent would be recommended. Do not soak or wring. Do not tumble dry.
